Carolin's Garden

"The Summer looks out from her brazen tower,
Through the flashing bars of July."
Francis Thompson

Although Carolin and her husband, Carlton, haven't quite been in their home for a year, she has manged to put a beautiful touch on the gardens.
Beautiful display of annuals in an antique wheelbarrow
A stone path meanders through this lovely shade garden in a pine grove.

Here is a photo of the side and front of their antique cape. The water feature with a covered bridge was created by a previous owner who built it as a memorial for his deceased wife.

Daylilies and other perennials are blooming beside the bridge.

Two giant Hosta that are beautiful now but, will be amazing when they mature

inOn the 3rd,  Carolin and Carlton had a cookout to celebrate Carlton's birthday. There was great company and great food in a lovely setting.

Today, I'm grateful that these lovely people call me friend.
Happy Gardening,

  1. What a gorgeous property! They've already done a lot for not being there very long! The water lilies and jack-in-the-pulpit are gorgeous. I'm sure given a few years, they'll have all sorts of lovely, mature gardens!
